Heidi Waldron

Heidi is a medical educator at School of Medicine Fremantle, The University of Notre Dame Australia. An avid self-taught photographer and videographer, Heidi has incorporated creativity into her job description as a curriculum developer for the medical course. 

Since 2014 Heidi has developed educational videos to support simulation-based teaching for medical and other health professions students.  Special interests include clinical communication and management of clinical deterioration.   See a local, freely-available resource here:  https://vimeo.com/139183068

Heidi has been involved in interprofessional initiatives with a particular focus on preparing students for clinical placements. She was recently awarded Associate Fellowship with Australian and New Zealand Association of Health Professional Educators.  Her video design, implementation and sharing have been recognised with a Notre Dame Vice Chancellor’s Award and Australian Universities National Citation.
