Prue is a Registered Nurse and Senior Lecturer at Murdoch University where she leads a team of professional and academic staff in simulated learning environments. Her clinical nursing experience in emergency care, operating theatres and military medicine supported her early work in developing simulations for care of the critically ill patient. More recently her interest has moved towards simulations focused on human factors, interprofessional teams and developing professional behaviours. She has been the recipient of three Vice Chancellors Awards for Teaching Excellence and also three Australian Awards for University Teaching. Prue has published and presented in the National and International arena her findings in simulation. Her passion is to create enjoyable and meaningful experiences for both teachers and learners that improve the quality of patient care.
